An introduction to the database and editing software supporting JAR and the plans for its official release (Michael Schwab).

Keynote Lecture and discussion; TK will talk about her experiences in writing for JAR and the advantages and disadvantages of this mode of online publication

10:45-11:30 Sustaining JAR (chair: Stephen Scrivener)
How can JAR be sustained financially? What are the costs of the journal? What is the right business model for JAR?, etc.

12:00-13:00 Workshops 2 (on SAR)
Working groups will be formed to discuss crucial aspects of the journal: 1. Future plans and projects (chair: Anna Lindal) 2. Acquiring members and funding (chair: Stephen Scrivener) 3. Networking JAR  (Chair: Sofie van Loo) 4. RC Portals and alternative Journals (chair: Michael Schwab) 5. Transdisciplinarity and cultural diversity (chair: Florian Dombois)

The newly elected Executive Board will meeting to review progress and prepare the way forward.

Please note that the ARC-research project led by Michael Schwab and Henk Borgdorff will hold a meeting, which is open to the public, with demonstrations and discussions around expositions and the Research Catalogue software before the SAR meeting.
